Fundamentals of Data Center Commissioning

[view session info]

David M. DiQuinzio earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University in 1985. He began his facilities career managing maintenance activities and projects in the corporate facilities departments of what were then known as Shearson Lehman and Chase Manhattan Bank. From 1989 through 1993, he directed the design, construction and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems for the 2 million square foot Chase MetroTech Center operations complex in Brooklyn, NY. He left Chase in 1994 to direct the Net York office of PRK Associates, an 18-person engineering firm that was one of the first to specialize in data center facilities design and commissioning.

In 1997, he joined forces with former United Parcel Service I. T. Facilities Director David Sjogren. Today, he, Mr. Sjogren and former Cushman & Wakefield critical facilities specialist John Diamond together own Strategic Facilities Inc. SFI provides mission-critical facilities consulting services such as planning, project management, design review, commissioning, operations support and related services to clients worldwide.
