Dave Loucks began his career 27 years ago with Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Subsequent to the acquisition of the Westinghouse Distribution and Control Business Unit by Eaton Corporation in 1994, he continued working in Eaton Corporation's Electrical group, previously known as Cutler-Hammer. Assignments have included Product Manager, Application Engineer, System Integration Manager and Marketing Manager. Present assignment is Solution Manager, Power Chain Management group where he designs systems that involve distributed generation, communications networks and the application of economic analysis techniques to determine payback and IRR on these systems solutions. Expertise includes networking and communications, motor control, logic systems, distributed generation system, and power system analysis. He received his BSEE from University of Kentucky and his MSEE from the University of Pittsburgh. He holds 4 patents plus one patent pending and has published papers in a variety of peer-reviewed journals including IEEE Transactions. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a senior member of IEEE and a Certified Energy Manager and Certified Demand Side Professional through the Association of Energy Engineers.
