Douglas Gourlay is the senior director heading Cisco's Data Center Solutions Group.
Gourlay has been a leader in the creation of Cisco® development, investment, and architectural strategies combining emerging technologies with core infrastructure. As senior director for Data Center Solutions, Gourlay defines and executes Cisco's global marketing strategy for data center solutions, products and technologies, including storage and application networking, data center switching, high-performance computing, and WAN optimization. Under his leadership the data center solutions segment has grown from a nascent business to a multi-billion-dollar global concern.
Since 1998 Gourlay has contributed to numerous hardware, software, and systems architecture developments across Cisco. He has served as director of product management for the industry-leading Catalyst® 6500 Series of LAN Switches. Most recently he was responsible for product management of next-generation LAN and SAN platforms. Gourlay has filed or holds more than 20 patents in networking technologies.
