Gerard Murray, an Engineering Design Principal with KlingStubbins, is a
registered electrical Professional Engineer primarily responsible for the design, implementation and commissioning of critical electrical power systems. He has over twenty five years of experience designing electrical power and control systems in the United States, Great Britain and other overseas locations.
He provides primary design guidance through project concept and budget formation stages, supervises detailed engineering design and production of contract documents, and follows construction in the field. He leads the design team with a hand on approach participating in every stage of the design process from conceptual design to final commissioning. He has completed assignments covering the design of new, and upgrades to existing, critical infrastructure systems on a wide range of projects.
His technical experience covers the complete spectrum of critical electric power systems including: UPS and power transfer systems using both Static and Rotary technologies, generating plants utilizing gas-fired Turbine-Generators and reciprocating Engine-Generators, control and protective relaying for electrical distribution in Low, Medium and High Voltage Class systems.
At the 7x24 Exchange, he has presented to the National conferences on topics including modular scalable planning approaches to data center design, he is active in the local New York and Pennsylvania Chapters. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Applications and IEEE Industry Applications Societies.
