Melanie Townshend was the Senior Project Manager for Gilbane Building Company, responsible for the facilitation and coordination of both preconstruction and construction services at Civista Medical Center. The project involved extensive site work and utility relocations to make way for a new four-story, 130,000 SF addition, as well as a 5,500 SF vertical expansion to an existing patient care tower. She also managed the completion of two clinical service projects: the construction of an MRI suite and the installation of a 1.5 Tesla magnet, and the creation of a new vascular procedure suite. Under Townshend’s direction, Gilbane’s project team coordinated the complete integration of the client’s clinical systems informatics.
