Mr. Sam Macrane is responsible for creating financially attractive and sustainable performance solutions that go beyond just equipment for mission critical environments around the world. In this role Sam is developing a customer-centered model that addresses the needs and constraints of the end user while leveraging advances in cooling technologies, modular central plants, power systems, alternative financing strategies, design, and support services beyond those of Daikin-McQuay. Sam is a systems engineer from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelors in Engineering and graduate certificate in Strategic Technology Management. He began his industrial career with York International following several years serving as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He went on to obtain a broad business and technical background in HVAC and alternative energy systems including periods growing energy solution business units in the Phoenix, Arizona and Chicago, Illinois. During that period he qualified as a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers. Sam recently was certified as a DOE recognized Data Center Energy Practitioner. Sam joined Daikin-McQuay Solutions to expand global efforts to provide “equipment plus” solutions to a variety of mission critical end users. He often speaks to engineering and trade organizations on the future of modularity in system design and the strategic and financial implications of modular cooling technologies in the marketplace. When not traveling on business throughout North America, he lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife and five children. |
