His focus spans various sectors with a particular emphasis on data centers.
Leadership and strategic planning are at the core of Jason’s responsibilities. He takes great pride in developing and empowering the team of automation engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and growth.
Additionally, collaboration is key in his role. Working closely with other Partners and practice leaders, he helps shape the vision and direction of the Information Solutions group which specializes in server room and above solutions for the manufacturing space.
Mission Critical Journey
Jason’s journey in the mission critical space has been both exciting and impactful. He had the privilege of initiating the mission critical initiative at Design Group, which has since grown into a significant area of the business. This venture has allowed him to work with some of the largest data center companies worldwide, contributing to the cutting edge of digital infrastructure.
The projects in this sector span a wide range of complexities and scales. Jason has been involved in greenfield projects where they design, deploy, and start up Building Management Systems (BMS) and Power Management Systems (PMS) from the ground up. These projects require a deep understanding of the intricate requirements of data centers and the critical nature of their operations.
In addition to hands-on implementation, Jason provides high-level engineering consulting services, helping data center operators develop and refine their automation standards. This work ensures that clients’ facilities operate at peak efficiency and reliability, crucial factors in the fast-paced world of data management and cloud computing.
Participation in 7×24 Exchange
While Jason is relatively new to the 7×24 Exchange organization, he recognizes its importance in the mission critical and data center industry. He looks forward to engaging more deeply with this community, sharing insights from his experiences, and learning from fellow professionals as they collectively advance the field of mission critical operations.
“The growth in data center infrastructure since I began working in this industry is phenomenal and organizations like 7×24 Exchange help suppliers and users work in harmony to continue to drive this growth going forward.”
Beyond the Data Center Industry
Outside of his professional life, Jason is deeply committed to youth development through sports. He coaches youth rugby, a role that allows him to combine his passion for the game with his dedication to mentoring young athletes. This volunteer work is not just about teaching the technical aspects of rugby; it’s about instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance in the next generation.
This experience has also taught Jason valuable lessons that he brings back to his corporate role. The importance of clear communication, the power of a well-coordinated team, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are all skills that are as applicable in the boardroom as they are on the rugby pitch.
