Furthermore, ourarchitecturecan reachacrossverticals
with a full range of services—from remote hands to

the individual requirementsof specificclients. The retail
colocationproduct isavailableatourAshburncampus—
so a smaller client can buy five racks or two racks or

ESTABLISHINGANEWNERVECENTERFOR
THECOMPANY
At Digital Realty, we have long understood the
importance of emphasizing operational consistency
across our global portfolio—our clients demand it, and
they deserve it. Therefore, in order to ensure that we
continue providing a high level of consistency, we are
currently planning a new global operations command
center thatwill be located inBuildingGof our Ashburn
campus.Constructionwillbegin in thesecondquarterof
2014 andwe expect theproject tobe completed in the
thirdquarterof 2014.
Thenewcommandcenterwill essentially functionas the
nerve center for our data center operations,monitoring
all of our systems globally. More specifically, it will
handle: client service requests; remote-hands requests,
whichwill bedispatched tospecificdatacenter sitesvia
a sophisticatedwork-order system; vendor dispatching;
alarmmonitoring—so if there isapoweroutageatadata
center in Chicago or an event at a data center in
Singapore,alertswillbesenttothecommandcenter. It is
alsobeingconfigured to serveas thenetworkoperating
center (NOC) forourDigital Realtynetworkecosystem.
