Spring 2024 WAM Meeting Recap

7x24 Exchange's Spring 2024 WiMCO® Alignment Meeting was held on May 1st via Zoom. The session, moderated by Larisa Dalton, Applied Marketing, Johnson Controls, Inc., was attended by women and men in the data center industry. Overall, the session focused on being as collaborative as possible, having fun, and continuing to incorporate WiMCO within 7x24 Exchange Chapter events. At the end of the session, attendees participated in breakout rooms, shared experiences, and provided suggestions for future programming. The session closed with WiMCO Committee Chair Juli Ierulli, Vice President, 7x24 Exchange International, sharing upcoming WiMCO events, resources, and contacts.

Metro New York Chapter
|
On April 18th, the Metro New York Chapter held their Annual University Challenge hosted at Syska Hennessy Group. Five schools presented this year on a variety of data center related topics from SUNY Maritime, Hofstra University, Manhattan College, New York Institute of Technology, and Rutgers University. Each school was presented with a $5,000 check and the students each receive $250 for participating. Many of these students are graduating with jobs already lined up in our industry with several member firms. To date, the Metro New York Chapter has raised and distributed over $300,000 in funds to the participating schools for the University Challenge as well as Scholarships, Senior Projects, and Student Chapters.
