Sara Martin is a Market Sector Leader at HED, a national architecture and engineering firm with decades of experience in the mission critical sector. In her role as a Market Sector Leader, Sara specializes in the design and delivery of facilities solutions for national client organizations.
With over eight years of experience in the industry, Sara is an expert in delivering optimized, replicable, and resilient facilities for mission critical clients, and plays a key role in the success of some of HED’s most high-profile data center projects, programs, and client relationships. Sara began her career at HED as an assistant project manager and worked her way up into project management, and ultimately into client and program management and sector leadership. Her success at HED is due in part to her work ethic and skills as a careful listener to client needs and concerns – which drives and informs her deep understanding of the mission critical industry and how to apply that to individual client needs. She has a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Working as a client advocate and professional, she delivers on complex facilities requirements while serving the speed-to-market needs of her client organizations. This has helped her build strong relationships and has established her as a valued strategic partner to her clients and leader within her firm.
Sara possesses a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and has spent her career working alongside HED’s inhouse integrated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, information and communications technology (ICT), and structural engineering teams, making her a well-rounded practitioner who can speak to the many facets particular to mission critical design. As someone who started her career as a young professional in mission critical, Sara understands the importance of mentoring and is always looking to nurture and expand the next generation of talent within the industry.
