Paul A. Marcoux is the VP of green engineering for Cisco Systems. As the new "Green" CDO Czar, Paul is responsible to driving Cisco's green initiatives both internally, externally, customer support and to the market place.
His career has included executive positions in Financial, Healthcare and Technology industries over a span of 30 years; providing consulting, design, engineering and management services for 3 plus million square feet of domestic and international data centers, from small LAN rooms to a state-of-the-art 2N data centers. His most recent position was with American Power Conversion Corporation (APC) where he held an executive position reporting to the CTO and founder of APC.
Paul has tremendous industry presence and vision. He has many publications, white papers, patents and public presentation on topics like Data Center Technology & "Greening". He has authored two subject matter books, Small / Medium Data Center System Specification & Project Manual and Telecommunications Rooms System Specifications & Project Manual. Paul holds degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering and has a Masters in Business Administration. He is also a founding member of The Green Grid Organization and The Green Grid Technical Committee. Paul is also one of the original founding members of the 7X24 Exchange.
