John Roam is a Senior Director for the Comcast Data Center Management Team, where he is responsible for the strategy, technical requirements, raised floor design, project management, budgets and capacity management for the Data Centers.
John started his career at Bell Atlantic/Verizon, where he was responsible for the systems that ran many of the critical processes for the company, such as provisioning and trouble ticketing systems, as well as predictive maintenance technology. While in this role, John helped drive up productivity by 30%, via automated operations, while the staff was reduced by 25%, and the quality of worked improved to unprecedented levels at the company.
John worked for CD NOW as Director of Technology, where he oversaw the operations for the online store and office systems. He also co-founded Data Center Direct, which was a company which provided intelligent, automated web-centric solutions.
